The 15 Best Places for Pie in NYC (1)

While pie is far from NYC’s signature dessert (cheesecake, cupcakes, or the black and white cookie are stronger contenders), when the holidays approach, pie cravings hit. Because this is NYC, pie lovers can find flaky, buttery crusts filled with everything from the classics like apples and pumpkin to the unexpected—babka, anyone? And in this town, even the basics can get interesting updates, like a Normandy style apple pie with custard cream, pumpkin pie spiked with Jamaican rum and spices, and pecan combined with chocolate and maple syrup.

Whether it’s from bakeries solely dedicated to pie year-round or restaurants and eateries offering holiday specials on their menu, here are our top 15 places to satisfy your pie cravings right now. Get your preorders in for the holidays and be sure to save room for dessert.
